To celebrate Gemmyo’s 15th anniversary, discover a series of fifteen portraits by @linebrusegan dedicated to those who have shaped the House’s history, directly or indirectly, over the years. Employees, partners, artisans, and inspiring figures: each, in their own way, has helped Gemmyo evolve and shape its story.
To kick off this anniversary series, what could be more fitting than returning to Gemmyo’s very foundations: the origins of a somewhat daring project, conceived by two individuals brimming with dreams and ambition.
As you may have guessed, we’re talking about Pauline Laigneau and Charif Debs, the two founders who, from day one, believed in their dream, championed their vision, and together brought to life an independent jewelry House guided by purpose.
We begin with the first portrait in a series of 15, marking Gemmyo’s 15th anniversary, conceived as a journey through the House’s history.

To accompany this first portrait and celebrate this anniversary, Pauline Laigneau and Charif Debs also agreed to take part in a unique experiment: stepping over to the other side of the microphone.
For this special podcast episode, the two founders look back on their journey, the early days of Gemmyo, and the vision that, fifteen years on, continues to guide the Maison. An open and heartfelt conversation hosted by journalist and presenter Ariel Wizman.

Following our two co-founders, Pauline Laigneau and Charif Debs, we invite you to meet Julie. Julie isn’t a “hand,” but from the very beginning she has embodied the artisan’s craft and our unwavering commitment to French production.
A partner from the very start, she is one of those who helped us bring to life what mattered most to us: championing French craftsmanship of the highest caliber while remaining true to our convictions.
They had an idea that seemed a little crazy, but it was deeply sincere. Their vision, high standards, and conviction made me believe in it. I took a chance on them—and I’ve never regretted it.”

Over the years, Line’s been capturing the essence of our Maison. She captures the people who, every day, bring our workshops, our boutiques, and our collections to life.
Her sincerity mirrors the spirit that has always driven us: to tell the story without detours, with accuracy.
This portrait series, dedicated to the people who have shaped the history of the Maison, was shot by @linebrusegan. It felt only natural, then, that she should step in front of the lens herself.
As I created these portraits, I came to realize I was capturing more than faces. I sought to reveal what binds them together: shared stories, transmissions, the invisible legacy each person holds within.“

Portrait #4 – Amélie du Chalard: bringing Art into our boutiques
Now, let’s meet Amélie.
From the very beginning, bringing art into our boutiques felt like the obvious choice. Quite simply because our boutiques are not merely showcases, but true living spaces designed for encounters and conversation, where works of art engage in a dialogue with our jewelry.
We owe this distinctive identity to Pauline Laigneau’s lifelong connection with art and to her encounter with the discerning eye of Amélie du Chalard, founder of the eponymous contemporary art gallery.
This collaboration with Gemmyo was born from a wonderful artistic encounter. I love seeing my world converse with the Maison’s and come to life within its boutiques.”

Portrait #5 – Anthony: Ten years of loyalty and so much more
A Maison is not built by its creations alone, but by the women and men who bring it to life, year after year.
Ten years ago, Gemmyo was only just beginning its story. There was still so much to imagine, and everything seemed possible. Anthony chose to believe in that vision. For the past decade, he has supported every stage of the Maison’s growth, helping to shape it day after day.
A valued witness to Gemmyo’s evolution, he embodies the same high standards, conviction and dedication today as he did on his very first day.
