Dear Clients,
Over the past few months, the price of gold has reached an historic level.
At the time of writing, it stands at over €125,000 per kilo – an unprecedented figure – and the current geopolitical climate gives little indication that prices may ease in the near future.
For a Maison like Gemmyo, which creates all its jewelry in France with exacting standards and an uncompromising commitment to the quality of its raw materials, this situation has a direct and immediate impact.
It is for this reason that we have decided to adjust our prices as of February 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m., with an average increase of approximately 7%.
This evolution can also be viewed from another perspective: beyond its emotional significance, fine jewelry today increasingly proves to be an object that retains and builds value over time.
That said, I would like to share two important clarifications:
First, this price adjustment will be thoughtful and nuanced.
Not all creations will be affected in the same way. Some prices will be adjusted only slightly, others more noticeably, and a small number of designs may even see their price reduced when this more accurately reflects their intrinsic value.
Second, and this is essential to us, we will continue to absorb a significant portion of the rise in gold prices, whereas many players in our industry choose to pass it on in full.
Our commitment therefore remains unchanged: to offer jewelry creations of the highest standards, at prices we strive to keep as fair and respectful as possible for our clients.
This price adjustment may lead to an increase in orders. As a result, our production lead times could be temporarily extended, and we felt it important to inform you of this with complete transparency.
As an independent Maison, Gemmyo belongs to no group and follows no short-term financial logic. We have remained faithful to the same vision since our very first day: to build, together with you, a jewelry brand designed to last, one that stands apart from fleeting trends.
I wanted to write to you personally to explain this decision.
Thank you again for your trust and continued loyalty.
Yours sincerely,
Pauline Laigneau
